Hi, welcome to our shop. Our hours are 10am to 7pm. Send us the item or the question you have and we will reply within an hour with a straight answer, including price and stock.
Where these messages go
All of this lives in the free WhatsApp Business app, not regular WhatsApp. Open the app, go to the Tools tab, and you will find Away message and Greeting message as separate entries. On older versions they sit under Settings, then Business tools. Turn one on, tap the message text, paste, and confirm.
The away message needs a schedule. Choose always send, a custom schedule, or outside your business hours. That last option reads the opening hours from your business profile, so fill those in first or it will never fire. The full walkthrough, including recipient lists and quick replies, is in our guide to WhatsApp auto reply .
Greeting, away and quick reply are three different things
They get confused constantly, and they solve different problems. The greeting message fires on a customer's first message, or their first in 14 days. It is the one people actually read, because it arrives when attention is highest. The away message fires when you are unavailable, on whatever schedule you set. A quick reply does not fire on its own at all: it is a saved snippet you insert by typing a shortcut, for the answers you type over and over.
The common mistake is putting your most important information in the away message, where only after-hours customers ever see it, instead of the greeting.
What makes one worth sending
Two rules, and the templates above follow both. Give a real detail, because a message that only says you will get back to them tells the customer nothing they had not already assumed. Opening hours, a delivery range, an order number request, anything concrete beats another sentence of politeness.
And set an expectation you can actually meet. Promising a reply within an hour is worse than silence if the real answer is tomorrow morning, because now you have broken something instead of simply being closed. That is why the generator asks when you will reply rather than assuming.
Where a fixed message stops working
An auto reply solves exactly one problem, which is silence. It does not answer anything. A customer asks whether you have something in size M at 9pm. Your away message says you will reply in the morning. By morning they have bought it from whoever was awake. The auto reply worked perfectly and you still lost the sale.
That is the ceiling on every message on this page. One text, the same for everyone, triggered by the clock rather than by what the customer asked. It buys goodwill for a few hours. It never checks stock, it never quotes a price, and it never tells you who was asking.

The message you just copied tells a customer you will get back to them. EezieLead answers them instead, from your own products and FAQs, at 9pm, in the language they wrote in, and leaves you a record of who asked.
