AI that answers customers on its own starts on Growth at US$159 a month. If you are a small business that mainly wants AI answering WhatsApp, these cost less:
- Meta Business Agent is free for now inside the WhatsApp Business app, if Meta has opened it to your account.
- EezieLead is a WhatsApp AI built in Kuala Lumpur for small shops. AI replies are on every plan, including the free one, and paid plans start at RM199 a month.
- SleekFlow includes AI agents from US$109 a month, so it is the cheaper route to AI agents for a team.
- Wati starts at US$69 a month for broadcasts and a team inbox. Its AI agent, Astra, is a paid add-on.
- ManyChat includes WhatsApp from its Pro plan, US$39 a month or US$29 a month paid yearly. It is built mainly for Instagram and Messenger marketing.

None of these include Meta's own message fees. From 1 October 2026 each WhatsApp number gets 1,000 free service messages a month on the Business Platform, then Meta charges per message. Check whether that affects you.
Meta Business Agent
The AI built into the WhatsApp Business app. It learns from your chats, catalogue, website and Facebook page, and it is free for now. Meta says it is only open to some businesses in some countries, that it replies in one language set by your phone number, and that it will move to a paid subscription. It doesn't keep lead records. EezieLead
A WhatsApp AI built in Kuala Lumpur for small businesses. It answers from your own prices, FAQs and products, replies in whichever language each customer writes in (English, Chinese or Bahasa Malaysia, mixed messages included), saves every enquiry as a lead, and pauses in a chat when you reply from your phone.
The Free plan gives you 300 preview replies to test before connecting a number, then 30 AI conversations a month. Starter is RM199 a month for 300 AI conversations, and Growth is RM799 a month for 2,000. A conversation counts once a month however many messages it takes. It connects to Bukku on Starter and up, and it works alongside the WhatsApp Business app you already use.
What you give up compared with respond.io: it covers WhatsApp only, it doesn't send broadcasts, and each business has one login today.
SleekFlow
A multi-channel inbox for sales teams. Pro is US$109 a month with 10 users, 500 monthly active contacts and AI agents included, against respond.io's US$159 for the same kind of AI. Premium is US$279. There's a 7-day trial with no card. Good for a team that wants most of what respond.io does, for less.
Wati
WhatsApp-first, known for broadcasts and a shared team inbox. Growth is US$69 a month (US$54 paid yearly) with 3 users. Astra, its AI agent that answers customers, is a separate add-on, and Wati bills message fees through its own rate card. Good if broadcasts matter more to you than AI.
ManyChat
Built for Instagram and Messenger marketing flows, with WhatsApp on its Pro plan and above: US$39 a month, or US$29 a month paid yearly, for 2,500 active contacts. Its AI features have been a paid add-on on some Pro plans, so check what your plan includes. Good if most of your customers find you on Instagram.
ChatDaddy
A shared inbox with broadcasts and automation flows. Mini is US$59 a month billed yearly for 1 channel, 3 teammates, 1,500 active chats a month and unlimited automation. It counts active chats, not contacts, and charges US$15 for every extra 1,000.
It lists an AI agent among its features, but its pricing page doesn't say whether AI agent replies are part of "unlimited automation" or billed from your wallet like its other AI features, so ask before you count on it.
It supports the official WhatsApp API and also lets you connect by scanning a QR code, like WhatsApp Web. That second route isn't Meta's official platform, and automating an ordinary WhatsApp account is how numbers get banned. If you choose ChatDaddy, use the official API connection. AiSensy
Popular in India for WhatsApp marketing. There's a free plan, Basic is ₹1,500 a month, and the AI chat agent is a ₹1,350 a month add-on that covers 1,000 AI messages. Its pricing and message rates are set for India, so check how it handles Malaysian numbers and billing before you commit.
